Dr. Joseph Olejak - Chiropractic , Therapeutic Nutrition , Medicinal Herbs , Touch for Health , Weight Loss / BodyDetoxification and Co-Creator of SERENA ~ A Guided Journey into the Heart of Relaxation; a meditation audio.
Dr. Olejak is the 2002 first prize winner of the Dr. Royal Lee Essay Contest. His essay is entitled "Adjuvant Therapeutic Nutrition for Patients with Hepatitis C".
Dr. Olejak earned his doctorate in chiropractic and bachelor of science from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. As an undergraduate at St. Andrews University in Scotland, he studied philosophy and biochemistry. While in Scotland he also worked with handicapped children and intentional community building at the Camphill School in Aberdeen.
In private practice as a doctor of chiropractic and wellness counselor since 1989, Dr. Olejak's clinical focus has been on contextual healing; the integration of the whole. In his private practice he addresses what he considers to be the five essential factors necessary to lead a healthy life: care of the nervous system, nutrition, mindfulness, elimination of toxicity and fitness.
Q - What makes Dr. Olejak unique among chiropractic providers?
A - Clinical nutrition (whole food concentrates and herbs), eclectic range of techniques, personal attention, and virtuosity from experience.
- Clinical Nutrition: We live in an age where there is a pill for everything, however, those pills come with a price - side effects. Clinical nutrition resolves health issues by feeding the body, not forcing function on an organ while throwing the rest of the body out of balance.
- Eclectic Techniques: Trained at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Olejak is familiar with all the traditional manual adjusting techniques commonly used, and in addition to that, he is familiar with a number of low force techniques for patients with special needs such as osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, or degenerative conditions which do not tolerate a regular force adjustment.
- Personal Attention: In order to make a lot of money, doctors participate in as many insurance plans as possible. This translates to very busy offices where individualized treatment plans are just not possible in the 6 minutes the doctor spends with the patient. Dr. Olejak will take the time necessary to evaluate your case and provide what is required to help you get well.
- Virtuosity: Like a concert violinist, virtuosity is not mere competence. It's the extra knowledge that comes through experience and taking a different approach. Since Dr. Olejak graduated in 1989, his focus has been treating the whole person, not just the spine. It is through this holistic perspective that he renders treatment.

Tiana has worked for over 10 years in the human service field serving people with various disabilities. For the past 5 years she has worked with individuals with mental illness and drug addictions. She is looking forward to touching people's lives on a more spiritual and emotionally healing level. Touch has an amazing healing quality; physically it reduces heart rate, and blood pressure, increases circulation and can relax or stimulate depending the nervous system depending on the desired outcome. Emotionally it reduces stress and anxiety, decreases symptoms of depression and improves mental clarity. Tiana is trained in several modalities such as Swedish, Medical, Sports and Deep Tissue Massage. Tiana incorporates stretching into her bodywork to increase circulation and restore range of motion. Tiana enjoys using Shiatsu techniques also (Shiatsu meaning "finger pressure" in Eastern bodywork). In Shiatsu the client is fully clothed and generally done on a mat on the floor. It consists of finger or palm compressions and stretching to release blockages in energetic pathways called meridians.
Tiana hopes to provide a comfortable environment for her clients that will address each person's needs individually with an experience that will leave them feeling safe and rejuvenated. "And never underestimate the healing power of touch... that compassionate connection- one human being to another." ~ From Job's Body by Deane Juhan
